Be Selective with Your Supplements – They Are Not Created Equal!

At some point or another, you’ve found yourself in a store or online attempting to figure out which multi-vitamin, fish oil or whatever other supplement you think you need is the best one. I’ve been in the health industry for 20+ years now and I can tell you from direct knowledge and intensive research that they are definitely not universally good – make that, most are actually very poor quality.

When you buy a supplement or vitamin product, it’s usually because you know (or are guessing) that you need it. But making your product choice based on price, the size of the bottle or because some sales representative or your neighbor said it was amazing isn’t the most calculated way to do it. Knowledge is power friends!

For example, if you took a moment to think about it, how exactly does fish oil supplements get made? What kind of fish was used to make it? Was it farmed or fresh? What was the process it took from fish to an oil, from an oil to a capsule? Is the end product actually scientifically-proven to work as it claims?

You see? There are so many areas to explore every single product – and no, we don’t expect you to have the interest, energy or time to take this kind of study on – that’s why you have us! When it comes to the difference between high-quality supplements, and those that aren’t worth your hard-earned cash, it’s the QUALITY that matters most. The level of quality of a product isn’t purely based on price – some people think if it is expensive, then it must be high-end. But this is often not the case.

The quality that I care about is directly related to the source of where the raw ingredients came from, how they were processed and the science behind those specific combinations that ensure the product actually provides the results that it is supposed to. There are very few companies that offer the level of quality that I professionally strive to provide for my clients at New Metabolism.

So, when it comes to selecting the products for display in this store and in my practice, I choose to provide professional-grade products from vendors that care about quality as much as I do. The majority of products that are featured in this store have been scientifically tested and are only available for purchase through health professionals. (For a complete list of these vendors, please see the home page of our store, left-hand column).

The majority of products have been manufactured at facilities with stringent internal quality-control protocols that adhere to one or more of these industry standards and/or certifications: NPA (National Products Association), NSF (National Sanitary Foundation), OTC (Over the Counter Drug GMPs), TGA (Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration), and the requirements of the FDA Dietary Supplement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

This should provide you with the confidence and security in knowing that products in the New Metabolism Store weren’t mass produced in some factory overseas, using low-end ingredients, soy, artificial colors or flavors and certainly not dyes.

Remember, we have done all the hard work and research for you. And yes, we personally take many of these products on a daily basis and definitely recommend them to our family, friends and clients. That is trust on the most basic level!
